Pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has launched Tadalafil tablets in the US market.
The drug is a therapeutic equivalent generic version of Adcirca (Tadalafil) tablets in the US market, approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. Adcirca is a trademark of Eli Lilly and Company. Tadalafil is generally indicated in the treatment of impotency, erectile dysfunction and enlarged prostrate, among others.
The Adcirca brand and generic had US sales of approximately $490 million for the most recent 12 months ending in November 2018, according to IMS Health. Dr Reddy’s scrip gained 1.17 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange to end at Rs 2647.50 on Tuesday.
