The stakes are high and competition is hot. In a bid to tap India’s growing cafe culture, and to brew faster than its competitor Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts has launched its signature international ice blended cold coffee in the country.

Called ‘Dunkaccino’, the new brew is made by blending Dunkin espresso coffee with ice, milk and flavours.

The new drink will be available in four variants — choco, frosted mint, caramel butterscotch and muesli — apart from the existing variant of classic Dunkaccino.

While Choco Dunkaccino is a chocolate blended cold coffee topped with whipped cream and more chocolate to satiate the chocolate craving, Caramel Butterscotch is blended with caramel sauce, whipped cream and cascading butterscotch crystals.

Frosted Mint Dunkaccino comes with the international spearmint flavour giving it a distinctive taste, while Muesli Dunkaccino is blended with muesli and rich dry fruits, which makes for a power drink.

The beverages menu has also been expanded with fruit milkshakes, smoothies and tea.

Dev Amritesh, President and COO, Dunkin Donuts India notes that with warm weather spreading throughout the country, Dunkin Donuts’ new flavours are set to replenish and refresh consumers.

With the coffee business booming across the country, the entry of Starbucks has only upped the ante. Dunkin Donuts has cast its retail chain — nine stores in the Delhi NCR region and one in Chandigarh — as an all-day eatery that sells more than just coffee.
