Chennai-headquartered Equitas Holdings has reported a 74 per cent drop in its consolidated net profit at ₹15.60 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2017, compared with ₹61.17 crore in a year-ago period. It has made an incremental provision of ₹23 crore during the quarter towards MF portfolio, according to a statement. Net interest income (NII) grew by 5.6 per cent to ₹216 crore and net income (NII and other income) increased by 31 per cent to ₹298 crore.
