FirstBuild, a co-creating community for start-ups, is setting up its base at T-Works, an incubator established by the Telangana government to support start-ups working on electronic hardware products.
FirstBuild, which is backed by GE Appliance, has signed an agreement with Sujai Karampuri, Chief Executive Officer of T-Works, on Tuesday. This is in continuation to the agreement signed in December last year where both sides created a team to work out the details.
“FirstBuild entities have harnessed community insights and the power of the maker movement to change how products come to market around the world,” Melanie Cook, Chief Operating Officer for GE Appliances, said.
Besides Hyderabad, FirstBuild has locations locations in Louisville (in the US), and Shanghai, China. “By letting the community influence the product from the very beginning, FirstBuild quickly delivers products that consumers want,” an executive said.
