Car maker Ford India today reported 24.03 per cent decline in total sales in April this year at 7,270 units.
The company had sold a total of 9,569 units in the same month last year, Ford India said in a statement.
Domestic sales also went down by 44.41 per cent to 4,003 units in April this year as against 7,201 units in the same month last year, it added.
The company exported 3,267 units last month compared to 2,368 units in the year-ago period, registering a rise of 37.96 per cent.
Commenting on the sales performance, Ford India Executive Director (Marketing, Sales and Service) Vinay Piparsania said: “We are encouraged to see exports growing at a steady pace and we remain deeply optimistic about our business in India as we continue to expect growth in the long-term.”
