Forevermark, the diamond brand from De Beers Group of Companies, has partnered with Sunny Diamonds to unveil its new collections in the Kerala market.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Sachin Jain, Managing Director, Forevermark India, said the company would be looking for one or two more partnerships in Kerala as the fascination for diamond ornaments is on the rise in the State. At present, De beers has partnered with 85 retailers in the country and is present in 13 cities. De Beers controls 40 per cent of market share globally, he added.
According to Jain, Forevermark has plans to open at least 140 retail outlets in the country by next year, considering the growing awareness among Indian consumers towards diamonds.
Jewellery biz in India
The jewellery business in India is estimated at Rs 1.20 lakh crore with diamond business accounting for 25 per cent. It is witnessing an upward trend, he said.
Forevermark is a very young brand and the intention of the company is to ensure that right diamond goes to the right consumer. Forevermark is a diamond brand that will offer diamond purchasers, quality, integrity and inspiration, he claimed.
