Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) plans to reach out to the largely untapped markets in rural India with its newly launched paper-based mosquito repellent.

According to Sunil Kataria, Chief Operating Officer, Sales, Marketing & SAARC, GCPL, priced at Rs 10 for a pack of 10 paper strips, Good Knight Fast Card is aimed to tap the “estimated 56 per cent population of the country that do not use mosquito repellent”.       

GCPL currently controls a substantial share in the Rs 3,600 crore household insecticide market in the country.

“Our objective is to reach out to a bigger market with this innovative product and educate people about using mosquito repellent. We already sell our other products through 40 lakh stores (direct and indirect),” Kataria told reporters here at a press conference.
