Geojit BNP Paribas has registered a 10 per cent growth in its net profit at ₹13.71 crore in Q2 compared to ₹12.42 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

The company’s consolidated revenue stood at ₹80.88 crore, posting a 11 per cent growth in the second quarter.

The operating revenues in the second quarter of FY17 from the company’s subsidiary, Geojit Technologies Pvt Ltd (GTL), has gone up from ₹5.11 crore to ₹6.18 crore compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company’s assets under custody and management stood at ₹30,000 crore as on September 30.

According to C.J.George, Managing Director, Geojit BNP Paribas, “the focus in the retail distribution of mutual fund SIPs has started showing positive results. During this quarter, our SIP book size grew to ₹41 crore from ₹19 crore at the beginning of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the company made a one-time incremental gratuity provision of ₹3.37 crore on account of salary restructuring.”
