Geomardy signs pact with US co Global Fusion

Srinivasa Raju, founder of Geo Marine Dynamics (I) Pvt Ltd (Geomardy), has been appointed as Director of C&C Technologies.
Geo Marine is a local company engaged in sub-sea geotechnical and geophysical investigations for government agencies and private corporations.
C&C Technologies is a US company which provides deep water services with autonomous underwater vehicle operations and C-Nav global DGPS positioning systems.
At a press meet here on Sunday, he said that he has experience in the field for over 15 years and has been working with the US company for several years.
“Now the company has appointed me as director and head of the South Asian division which will take up projects in India, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. Services offered will include geophysical surveys, marine construction surveys, subsea soil engineering, hydrographic mapping, and physical oceanography,’’ he said.
Visakhapatnam’s proximity to the Krishna-Godavari basin is one of the reasons why the company has chosen to open the office here, he said.
He said oil and gas companies such as BP, Cairn Energy, and GSPC could use the services of the company. Geomardy would continue to exist as a separate company and it would be a kind of joint venture with the US company. “There is a lot of synergy between the two companies and it will be mutually beneficial,’’ he added.
At present, Srinivasa Raju said Geomardy is employing five full-time technical personnel and others would be requisitioned, as and when required.
He said added that C&C Technologies is employing more than 600 persons worldwide.
