Dalmia Group firm GHCL today reported a marginal rise in its standalone net profit by seven per cent to Rs 52.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013.
It had reported a net profit of Rs 49.38 crore in the January-March quarter of previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
The company’s net profit rose even as its total income dropped to Rs 540.09 crore in the fourth quarter, against Rs 548.90 crore in the year-ago period.
However, for the entire 2012-13 fiscal, the company reported a fall in its net profit to Rs 114.95 crore from Rs 119 crore in the 2011-12 fiscal.
Total income increased to Rs 2,124.94 crore from Rs 1,896.73 crore in the review period.
Shares of the GHCL Ltd today rose marginally by 0.20 per cent to close at Rs 33.50 apiece on the BSE.
