Our Bureau GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire the entire equity and preference shares held by Menzies Aviation Cargo (Hyderabad) Ltd, Mauritius, in Hyderabad Menzies Air Cargo Pvt Ltd, for ₹59.75 crore (HMACPL).
GHIAL is a direct subsidiary of GMR Airports Ltd and an indirect subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Ltd.
HMACPL is currently the only entity engaged in the operation and maintenance of cargo handling at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here. In FY18, HMACPL handled 125,061 tonnes of cargo at the airport.
