Home appliances major, Godrej Appliances, is keen to enter in joint product development pacts with other companies.
The company, currently, has technology collaboration with Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances to develop and market energy-efficient refrigerators.
According to Kamal Nandi, Executive Vice-President, Godrej Appliances, the company is open to develop similar pacts with other companies. “As of now there are no new joint product development pacts. But we are open to them,” he added.
Following the pact, Godrej and Bosch has already started developing energy efficient refrigerators. The products are likely to hit the Indian market around mid 2014.
Currently, refrigerator sales account for 60 per cent of the company’s topline. Washing machines (18 per cent), air-conditioners (15 per cent) and micro-waves (seven per cent) are the other verticals in which the company operates.
