Godrej Appliances is looking at a 15 per cent market share nation-wide in the 5-star inverter AC segment, with the launch of its premium NXW range.
Inverter AC’s are the fastest growing segment with 75 per cent growth every year and 10 per cent contribution to industry sales. The total market size of air-conditioners in the country is estimated at 4 million units with a value of ₹10,000 crore, Kamal Nandi, Business Head, Godrej Appliances said.
According to him, there has been a consumer shift towards energy efficient 5-star category AC’s in the country in the last five years.
Nandi who was here in connection with the launch of the premium Godrej NXW range of 5-star inverter AC said that Kerala is the leading market for the company in the 5-star segment with a share of 15 per cent. The company is eyeing 25 per cent market share with the introduction of the new energy efficient series which comprises of 34 models.
