Granules India Ltd will be setting up a research and development centre in Pune.
The board of directors of the company has approved a proposal in this regard, the Hyderabad-based company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.
When contacted, Mr C. Krishna Prasad, the company's Managing Director told Business Line that the proposed centre would be in addition to Granules' existing unit in Hyderabad.
The decision to set up a new centre in Pune was taken due to the availability of talent in that region, he added.
