Granules India Ltd's consolidated net profit declined at Rs 2.45 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2011, against Rs 4.5 crore in the year-ago period.
The decrease in net profit was due to Rs 2.9-crore non-cash expense in foreign exchange adjustment incurred by the Hyderabad-based company, according to a release.
The revenue increased 37 per cent to Rs 161 crore (Rs 118 crore). The earnings per share stood at Rs 1.23 (Rs 2.23). Granules stock declined 0.87 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday to end at Rs 68.60.
