Gravita India Ltd has acquired 80 per cent stake as partner in Metal Inc, Kathua. It is another acquisition by Gravita in Jammu & Kashmir after the recent acquisition of K.M. Udyog, Jammu.
The company is also under process to acquire the balance 20 per cent stake in Metal Inc, Kathua making it a 100 per cent wholly owned unit, shortly.
The latest addition shall further increase the lead smelting and refining production capacity of Gravita by 3,600 mt per annum to 46,200 mt per annum. This acquisition will enable the company to successfully cater to the growing demand for its products and to better serve customers from Northern parts of the country.
The acquisition of 80 per cent stake in Metal Inc., Kathua will add to the company’s topline to Rs 40 crore and Rs 3 crore to bottomline.
