Zuari Cement, part of the Italcementi group, has developed autoclaved aerated concrete block (Zuari Superlite). This has become the first green product in the country certified by CII’s Indian Green Building Council. The company, on Tuesday, received green product certification. According to Nabil Francis, Managing Director, Zuari Cement, “Blocks have been made with recycled content – fly ash.” The company also launched ‘i.pro brixment’ masonry cement. “This cement is developed by using clinker interground with plasticisers and other additives to enhance durability and workability,” said Francis.
