The GVK Group is planning a specialty hospital and medical college in Sri City multi-product economic zone, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said here today.
Speaking to industrialists and responding to Dr Badrinath of Shankar Netralya, Naidu said the State Government was planning to encourage setting up of speciality hospitals in Andhra Pradesh and GVK was one of the corporates who is keen to set up.
Similarly he said Shankar Nethralaya was planning hospitals in Sri City and Tirupati and it was allotted land for one hospital.
According to sources, GVK is planning to set up the college and research centre with an outlay of Rs 100 crore on a 25 acre site.
