Beverage company Paper Boat Drinks has opened its second manufacturing plant in Mysuru at an investment of about ₹21 crore.
The company’s first production facility in Manesar is running to its fullest capacity.
“The Mysuru facility will boost the production capacity and strengthen the company’s distribution in the South and West. With a daily production capacity of 220 bottles per minute in the first phase of its operations, the new plant will increase the monthly capacity to about 10 million packs,” it said.
Neeraj Kakkar, Founder-Chief Executive Officer, Hector Beverages, said: “Putting together our learnings from the Manesar plant, we have designed this facility in a way it offers the scope to scale as we grow, which was a challenge in our first facility. We see the Mysuru facility supporting us to strengthen our distribution and supply in Southern and Western parts of the country. ”
The company will use this plant to strengthen its presence in Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad this year.
Hector Beverages is backed by private equity players that include Sequoia Capital, Catamaran Ventures and Footprint Ventures.
The company has plans to launch six new variants of packaged traditional drinks before August this year.
