Birla Aerocon, the green building brand of HIL, the flagship company of CK Birla Group, has commenced production of a new range of SWR (Soil, Waste and Rain) and pressure pipes.
These augment the product portfolio and strengthen the production and reach of the firm’s pipes and fittings, it said.
The production of the new range of pipes and fittings has started at Faridabad, Haryana. The manufacturing plant for pipes and fittings in Golan, Surat will soon be operational soon, the company said.
Dhirup Roy Choudhary, MD and CEO, HIL, said in a statement: “The profitable growth in the organisation is led by bringing modern infrastructural solutions. The launch of the new range of products is a logical step that communicates to customers that we continue to provide products and services to meet the growing needs of the plumbing industry.”
The Birla Aerocon brand has a pan-India presence with eight plants across Golan, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jhajjar and Faridabad.
The company’s SWR pipes and fittings are manufactured using specially designed ‘co-molded yellow seal ring’ for pipes. These ensure leak-proof joints that provide adequate scope for thermal expansion and contraction, the firm claimed.
The pipes and fittings are produced with a unique online socketing for pipe and direct socketing of fitting during the moulding process. This helps produce a desired squared type groove which holds the ring tight without any play and gives leak-proof joints.
