Scooter major Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday launched its new two-wheeler Navi, a new kind of ride, at ₹39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new product is 100 per cent designed and developed in India for the first time -- from concept development to commercial production -- the company said.

The new two-wheeler will be available at HMSI showrooms within the next few months, it said.

"The year 2016 will be the historic year for Honda. Led by increased capacity with fourth plant, we will cross the threshold of 5 million two-wheeler sales in India for the first time," Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO, HMSI, said.

Honda's six new models led by Navi will reinvent two-wheeler mobility in India, he said.

"With the Navi, the game is on and young India is going to play with their two wheelers like never before, he added.

Apart from the Navi, HMSI will launch five other models, including refreshed motorcycles of CB Unicorn 160, Dream Neo, CD 110 Dream Deluxe (self start) and Dio with premium 3D logo, in course of time.

It will also launch second CKD model -- CRF1000L Africa Twin. The first CKD model CBR 650F is available in the Indian market.
