GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd reported an increase of 15 per cent on its net profit for this quarter on the back of growing sales of Horlicks and Boost.
It posted a net profit of Rs 110.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 as against Rs 96.16 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company reported revenue of Rs 727.42 crore over total income of Rs 744 crore in Q1 2011 as against revenue of Rs 664.04 crore on total income of Rs 672.01 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The quarter saw increased visibility across product portfolios supported by strong marketing initiatives, according to a release. A new product, Boost Glucose was launched during the quarter.
