Hindustan Unilever’s Managing Director Rohit Jawa’s total remuneration was higher by 3.75 per cent in FY25 at ₹23.23 crore, the FMCG company’s latest annual report showed.
According to the report, Jawa’s salary was ₹3.65 crore, allowances ₹11.45 crore, bonus ₹3.78 crore, and perks long-term incentive ₹2.76 crore.
Jawa’s remuneration was 146.47 times more than the median remuneration of employees.
Ritesh Tiwari, the group CFO’s total remuneration was ₹9.39 crore in FY25, a 9.69 per cent increase. Tiwari’s salary was ₹2.74 crore, allowances ₹2.19 crore, bonus ₹1.57 crore, and prequisite long-term incentive ₹2.51 crore.
Average increase made in the salaries of employees other than the managerial personnel in the financial year was 4.62 per cent, and does not include the increase on account of promotions, the company said in the annual report.
“An increase every year is an outcome of the company’s market competitiveness as against its peer group companies, as well as its financial performance. In keeping with our reward philosophy and benchmarking results, the increase this year reflects the market practice and sound financial management. The increase in managerial remuneration aligns with the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and has been duly approved by the Board,” it said.
