Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) has executed land lease and concession agreements with Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd (FCIL) and Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd (HFCL) to implement the fertiliser revival projects at Gorakhpur, Sindri, and Barauni.
HURL is a joint venture company of NTPC, IOCL, CIL and FCIL/HFCL incorporated for the purpose of these fertiliser revival projects. An official statement said the land would be leased to HURL for a period of 55 years by FCIL and HFCL.
The Union Cabinet had accorded its approval in respect of the land lease to HURL on August 9 this year. All the three new plants are currently under implementation and are expected to be commissioned in early 2021, the statement added.
