IKEA India, the Swedish home furnishing company, on Saturday announced the launch of its free ‘IKEA Shuttle Service’ here.
This is to ensure better accessibility to the IKEA store for all residents of Hyderabad. The services will run from four different locations in Hyderabad to the IKEA store in the HITECH city area.
It is likely to ply on the routes across the suburban localities - ‘Erragadda Metro Station’ – ‘Paradise Metro Station’ – ‘Esi Metro Station’– ‘Ameerpet Metro Station’. These places will serve as a pick-up and drop-off point.
The first shuttle service will operate between 9 am to 8:30 pm and take four rounds to and from the IKEA store. Customers can avail the IKEA ‘Shuttle Service’ from the nearest metro station to the IKEA store and back, on a first come first serve basis.
Aurelie Raimon, Store Manager, IKEA Hyderabad said, “Our research indicates that travelling to HITEC City for shopping is difficult for the many people living in the city. IKEA understands this and wants to ensure good accessibility for shoppers and many people staying in Hyderabad through this new service. We look forward to welcoming many more people in Hyderabad.”
