Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has elevated K.B. Kachru to the position of the Chairman of the hotel group in South Asia. It has also appointed Raj Rana as the new Chief Executive Officer who will be Kachru’s successor.
Kachru and Rana will both report directly to Simon C. Barlow, President, Asia-Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, who is based in Singapore. The company operates brands that include Radisson, Radisson Blu, Park Inn, Park Plaza and Country Inn & Suites.
The company said in a statement that in his new role, Kachru will continue to drive the growth of the company’s hotels in South Asia, as well as mentor Rana in his new role as the CEO.
“K.B. is the founder of Carlson Rezidor’s hotel business in India, and has been instrumental in building the company in India over the past 15 years,” said Simon C. Barlow.
He also said that the appointment of Rana marks the next phase of growth for Carlson Rezidor in India as it plans to touch 100-hotel mark by 2015.
