Kalpataru Power Transmission (KPTL), one of India’s largest EPC players in the power and infrastructure space with extensive operations in the global markets, has announced securing new orders worth of ₹1,145 crore.

This includes two orders for design, supply and construction of 500 kV transmission lines in CIS regions and 230 kV transmission lines in Africa totalling Rs.644 Crore. Another Rs 502 crore order is for railway infrastructure construction from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited won in consortium with with JMC and EESPL, the company said.

“The new orders will help KPTL to further strengthen its presence in CIS and African geographies and sets a solid base for growth in our international business. The order in our railway business highlights our commitment to establish KPTL as a leading Railway EPC player,”Manish Mohnot, Managing Director and CEO said.

He added the company was confident of meeting earlier set guidance of 15-20 per cent in revenue growth for the current financial year. KPTL’s order book at the end of FY18 stood at Rs 12,404 crore while on the consolidated level, the company’s order book is around Rs 20,000 crore.

Transmission and railways and pipeline division contribute for significant portion of company’s growth, Mohnot told BusinessLine in the interview earlier this year adding that in FY18 railways and pipeline division accounted for 20 per of the total revenue while the target for FY19 is to take this up beyond 30 per cent.
