KIOCL Ltd (formerly Kudremukh Iron Ore Company) has urged the Karnataka Government to impress upon the Railways to waive-off distance-based charges (DBC).
Malay Chatterjee, CMD of KIOCL, met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah recently in this connection.
He pointed out to the Chief Minister that the DBC waiver would help the company to run as a 100 per cent export oriented unit, and this in turn will enable it to earn foreign exchange.
