Kiran Visweswaraiah has taken charge as the new General Manager - International Marketing of public sector Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL).
He is a graduate in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bangalore University and had joined the components division of BEL-Bengaluru in December 1982.
He was involved in the design and development of microwave tubes and was part of the team, which successfully developed the 200 KW X Band Co-axial Cavity Magnetron that was used in large numbers in the Superfledermaus Radar.
