Kitco Ltd, the technical consultancy organisation, has bagged two major projects from public sector Bharat Electronics Ltd and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. The first project is for setting up a Defence Systems Integration Complex on 919 acres in Palasamudram in Ananthapuram district of Andhra Pradesh. Kitco won the technical consultancy contract overcoming stiff competition.

The first phase of the project costing Rs 195 crore, involves setting up weapon system integration, beacon facilities and hard stands. The scope of the consultancy involves design, tendering and execution of factory complex, development of strategic business units with a modern manufacturing facility for missile electronics integration.

The HAL project is for developing aircraft engines at its Aero Engine Research and Development Center (AERDC) in Bengaluru at a cost of Rs 140 crore. Kitco bagged the consultancy for setting up the AERDC on 8 acres adjacent to the present engines division.

Cyriac Davies, Managing Director, said Kitco was able to bag the BEL and HAL projects because of its proven ability to handle multi-disciplinary projects across sectors such as aviation, mobility hubs, ports and logistics and shipyards. The company has provided innovative solutions across industries, with its talent pool of technical and financial consultants, engineers and architects. In FY18, it completed many assignments across the country and garnered Rs 60 crore turnover, registering 20 per cent growth.
