Lenovo India has continued its retail expansion in high potential tier 3-5 cities across the country to establish a deeper consumer connect. In line with its objective of ‘Getting closer to customers', the company inaugurated its 200{+t}{+h} LES Lite in Kozhikode, thereby increasing its retail footprint in south India.
LES Lites are a smaller version of Lenovo Exclusive Stores (LES), typically around 150-200 sq ft in size. Offering a perfect blend of brand display, information, guidance, touch and feel of products, LES Lites will provide customers an end-to-end brand experience.
Mr Alex Li, Vice President – HSB, quoting a study pointed out that India's PC market is estimated to grow 22 per cent in 2011, with a substantial part of this demand expected to come from tier 3-5 cities in India. “Lenovo is significantly investing in strategic retail expansion across high potential tier 3-5 markets. LES Lites will be the engine of our growth and will help us optimally address the burgeoning PC requirements of consumers in such markets,” he said.
This 200th LES Lite is a significant milestone in our ambitious retail expansion. Our plan is to extend the LES Lites' count to 400 in the next few months. “We plan to reach out to 150 un-tapped towns and cities in the coming days. This will enhance our business prospects and drive increased profitability in the competitive Indian PC industry,” he said.
