The power transmission and distribution (T&D) business of L&T Construction has secured orders from clients in India, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia.
The projects are estimated to be in the range of Rs 2,500-5,000 crore, the company said in a filing to the exchanges.
In Saudi Arabia, it has bagged orders to construct a 380 kV substation with an associated 230 kV cable network, and establish 380 kV and 230 kV transmission line corridors. It has received another order from a customer in West Asia to construct EHV overhead lines, the filing said.
In the Philippines, the business has won an order to construct a 500 kV substation in association with a local player, which will cater to the growing demand for electricity in the metropolitan area of Manila.
L&T has also won an order in Gujarat to construct a 765 kV double circuit transmission line that will help transmit power from renewable energy sources, said the filing. It has additionally bagged an order to build a 20 MW floater solar power project at a reservoir of NTPC’s Auraiya Gas Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh.
