Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday said its arm has bagged orders for construction of hospitals in India.
While the company did not disclose the exact value of the contract, it said it has bagged a large order valued between Rs 2,000-5,000 crore.
“The buildings and factories business of L&T Construction has secured a design and build order for the construction of hospitals from a private developer in India,” the engineering major said in a Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) filing.
“This is a first-of-its-kind private sector project that incorporates National Disaster Management Authority guidelines and will have base isolators in the foundation to withstand the worst-case seismic scenarios,” the company added.
L&T said it has also secured another order for the construction of a hospital in Udupi, Karnataka.
Shares of Larsen & Toubro were trading 0.35 per cent lower at Rs 1,240.25 apiece on BSE.
