Revenues of Mahindra and Mahindra, which also includes Mahindra Vehicles Manufacturers, grew 15 per cent year-on-year in December 2015 quarter to Rs 10,466 crore.
Net profit (after adjusting exceptional gain of Rs 299 crore in the same period last year) jumped 23 per cent to Rs 820 crore.
While automotive segment was responsible for robust topline growth, savings in operating expenses and lower interest costs also helped in better profitability.
The company has expressed an optimistic outlook on the economy, which will help both the businesses.
