Meghmani Finechem Ltd (MFL), a subsidiary of city-based Meghmani Organics Ltd (MOL), on Friday announced the commissioning of its caustic potash-flake plant in Dahej near Bharuch.
The company commenced commercial production of caustic potash-flake (KOH) of 60 tonnes per day from April 21 at its existing facility at GIDC Dahej. Post-commissioning and on completion of a full year of operation in fiscal 2016-17, MFL expects to earn additional revenue of Rs 125 crore with expected profit before tax of Rs 20 crore.
The company has invested around Rs 65 crore towards setting up the KOH project. Finance for the project cost was met through internal accruals, the company said here.
