Toll management firm MEP Infrastructure has bagged two short-term toll collection contracts from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for one year.

“MEP has been awarded two short-term toll collection projects for a period of one year from NHAI, namely Surjapur toll plaza in West Bengal and Dasna toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh,” the company said in a statement today.

It has received the letter of acceptance for both the tolls and the amount payable to NHAI for the Surjapur toll plaza is Rs 42.03 crore, while Rs 28.08 crore for the Dasna toll plaza will be remitted on a weekly basis.

The company had operated Dasna toll plaza in the recent past.

Prior to this, MEP bagged six projects during this fiscal comprising five short-term toll collection projects awarded by NHAI and Road Infrastructure Development Company of Rajasthan (RIDCOR) with authority remittance of Rs 317.40 crore, and one long term toll collection project in Delhi awarded by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).

The long term project in Delhi has been awarded to a consortium of four members, wherein 25 per cent share is held by MEP. The project entails an authority remittance of Rs 1,653.50 crore for the project duration of 3 years, it said.
