Self-service wholesale retailer METRO, that entered its tenth year of operations in India, is launching a host of promotional offers and discounts for customers at all its 11 outlets across the country starting from tomorrow. The sale will be till July 31.

The German cash-and-carry major that entered the Indian market in 2003 with its first outlet in Bangalore, has already gained a strong foothold in the country by working closely with local producers, suppliers, co-operatives and self-help groups to source products for each of its wholesale centres.

Apart from Bangalore, it has outlets in Hyderabad and Mumbai, and one each in New Delhi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Jaipur.

“The last nine years have gathered us deep insights into what customers value.  It is their trust in us that has helped us reach this milestone. We want to give them the best of our high quality assortment and customised services at the lowest possible prices,” said Mr Rajeev Bakshi, Managing Director of METRO India. 

The company has several discounts and schemes in each product category, including dry and fresh food, groceries, furnishings, office equipment, media, electronics and appliances, among others. Special privileges and value-added services will also be offered to customers in appreciation of their continued loyalty and support.
