MRF’s net profit in the fourth quarter of FY19 was down, while it reported a marginal increase for the full year.
For the quarter ended March 31, the company’s PAT dropped by 15 per cent at ₹294 crore when compared with ₹345 crore in the year-ago quarter. Its profit before exceptional items and tax stood at ₹409 crore (₹514 crore). However, its revenue grew 6 per cent at ₹4,073 crore (₹3,835 crore).
For the full year ended March 31, 2019, the company’s profit stood at ₹1,097 crore as against ₹1,092 crore in 2017-18. Profit before exceptional items and tax was ₹1,609 crore (₹ 1,602 crore; revenue from operations grew to ₹15,837 crore (₹15,227 crore).
On a consolidated basis, its PAT was flat at ₹1,131 crore, while revenue grew to ₹16,062 crore f.
The board recommended a final dividend of ₹54 per share. Alongwith two interim dividends of ₹3 each per share, the total dividend for year is ₹60 (600 per cent).
MRF shares closed trade at ₹52,604.6 a piece, down 0.61 per cent, on the BSE on Thursday
