MyTVS, the multi-brand car servicing chain of TVS Automobile Solutions, is transforming itself into a full service provider in the aftermarket space with rejig of its service offerings and rejuvenation of brand identity.

Its new brand identity will be unveiled on Wednesday at its revamped Ambattur facility in Chennai.

MyTVS is changing from being an independent all-car service provider to a complete one-stop service shop for car owners, said G Srinivasa Raghavan, Executive Director, TVS Automobile Solutions.

He said MyTVS had established strong partnerships with insurance companies for cashless transactions. It had also attracted several original parts suppliers. “I can confidently say that MyTVS will have the widest range of genuine parts in the after market industry. So customers can get genuine parts quickly,” he said.

He said MyTVS had established a model to run a profitable independent after market car service business. “MyTVS has not only turned profitable for us, but it is also a good profitable model for our franchisees. Most of our franchisees who have signed up one year and before have turned profitable. Our model is such a way that between 9 and 15 months, depending upon the format, a franchisee can turn profitable,” he added.

The growing aftermarket car population, expanding reach of MyTVS and absence of single delivery player were among the key reasons for its transformation strategy.

MyTVS is becoming a pan-India brand and the company is opening 20 outlets this month alone. Its number of outlets has crossed 100 across six States. It will soon enter Maharashtra and Gujarat and later northern India. By 2017, the number of outlets will cross 200.

MyTVS outlets will offer services under four categories – quick service, wheels and tyres, car care and speed wash -- in addition to general services.MyTVS outlets will offer Freedom Club card where a customer can get annuity maintenance requirements on a pre-paid basis.

“Customers can buy this and get complete preventive maintenance service twice a year. Other benefits include 12 car washes a year, one year free road side assistance and discounts on non-insurance body repairs,” said Vinay Piparsania, President, who has just joined the company after more than 15 years in Ford.

The company will have new mobile application Autoplanet that will help customers book, manage, track his/her vehicle every stage of the servicing process.

The aftermarket car population is estimated at about 30 million and is growing in double digit, according to Raghavan.
