Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) today announced the opening of seven new dealerships across the country in an endeavour to achieve maximum customer outreach, in line with its growth strategy and long-term commitment to India.

The auto major has opened seven new dealerships in Karnal, Agra, Goa, Kolhapur, Vadodara, Secunderabad and West Delhi, a press release issued here stated.

With the opening of Malwa Nissan in Karnal, Haryana, Atmaram Nissan in Agra, AM Nissan in Goa, SMG Nissan in Kolhapur, Aster Nissan in Vadodara, Fortune Nissan in Secunderabad and Sky Nissan in West Delhi, the company currently has 30 dealerships operational across the country.

The opening of new dealerships marks the automotive major’s expansion strategy to reach commercial coverage in more than 70 per cent of the national territory, the release said.

At present, 14 states have Nissan dealerships. With the establishment of Fortune Nissan in Secunderabad, this will be the company’s third dealership in Andhra Pradesh after Hyderabad and Vijayawada. And with Sky Nissan kicking off in Delhi, it is the second in the National Capital after Nath Nissan, it said.

In the process of establishing the Nissan Brand in India, the company — in partnership with Hover Automotive India, its marketing, sales, after-sales service and dealer development arm — is rapidly preparing its dealer network structure to support the upcoming growth in the country.

The company today has 30 dealers operational across the country and aims to have more than 100 dealers by 2013.

The line of vehicles offered by Nissan in India include the Nissan Micra (global compact hatchback), Nissan Teana (luxury sedan), Nissan X-Trail (SUV model) and Nissan 370Z (iconic sports car).
