NMDC has achieved a record growth in production and dispatches during August.
The production of iron ore was up 14 per cent at 22.3 lakh tonnes against 19.6 lakh tonnes during the comparable period last fiscal.
The dispatches grew by 23 per cent during August and stood at 25.2 lakh tonnes (20.5 lakh tonnes), the Chairman and Managing Director Narendra Kothari said in a press release.
This is NMDC’s best ever production in the month of August, the previous best was 21.6 lakh tonnes in August 2011.
