N K Nanda, Director-Technical, National Mineral Development Corporation, will continue in the post for four weeks.
This follows an interim order passed by the High Court of Judicature of Hyderabad, extending its earlier interim direction for four weeks. The interim direction allows Nanda to continue in his current post till further orders.
Nanda has been earlier granted a three-month extension till May 31 by the Steel Ministery on an ad hoc basis pending vigilance clearance in February.
While Nanda is eligible to be considered for another term until he reaches the age of superannuation, it has to be approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
