NTPC Ltd has invited tenders for 250 MW of solar photo voltaic power project in Kadapa Ultra Mega Solar Park coming up in Andhra Pradesh.
The company is executing a 1000-MW solar PV park in Kadapa district and this offer is under National Solar Mission, Phase II, Batch II and Tranche I.
Being a nodal agency to implement the solar park, which is considered amongst first two ultra mega solar parks in the country being developed with an installed capacity of 1000 MW when completed, it has called for bids for selection of developers under the open category. The selection of the developer will be based on reverse auction where sellers bid for the prices at which they are willing to sell their goods and services.
In the solar power bids which have been approved in the past 12 months, the offer prices have dropped not only in the bids within the State, going down to as low as ₹4.63 per kWh for power supply of 500 MW solar facility last year.
