The Republic of Mali has awarded a Project Management Consultancy contract to NTPC for development of a 500 MW Solar Park. This was announced at an event held on Wednesday, chaired by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and New and Renewable Energy, RK Singh. He is also the President of the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
In 2019, ISA had endorsed NTPC as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) through a competitive process for member countries to avail the services of NTPC.
Earlier the Republic of Togo had engaged NTPC for similar PMC support for the development of a 285 MW Solar Park in that country.
NTPC plans to anchor 10,000 MW of solar parks in ISA member countries in the next two years, an official statement said.
