NTPC-SAIL Power Company Pvt Ltd (NSPCL), a joint venture between the two public sector enterprises, has paid an interim dividend of ₹100 crore for the 2015-16 fiscal of which NTPC’s share is ₹50 crore, the company said in a statement on Tuesday. “The interim dividend and dividend distribution tax for the current year 2015-16, works out to 91.39 per cent of net profit achieved during the nine-month period of April-December 2015,” the statement added. NSPCL recorded a total income of ₹1,737.86 crore during the April-December 2015 period and had a net profit of ₹131.69 crore.
