Bathroom products maker, Parryware - an arm of Roca Bathroom Products eyes massive expansion across the country to double the turnover from the existing Rs 1000 crore in the next 3-4 years.

The company is opening exclusive showrooms and product studios at select locations to reach out to the high-end customer groups. At the inauguration of the company's first exclusive showroom in Ahmedabad- first for Gujarat - K E Ranganathan, MD, Roca Bathroom Products stated that the company will open 10 more such showrooms in Gujarat over the next 18 months.

The company holds nearly 35 per cent market share in the overall Rs 3,000 crore bathroom products market, of which organised players have a share of about Rs 1600-1800 crore.

Ranganathan said, "Gujarat is a Rs 100-crore plus market and has witnessed a positive shift to organized segment in last ten years. The market has grown consistently over the last few years in Ahmedabad and we are confident that the consumers will be inspired to transform their bathrooms with easy access to a wide range of bathroom solutions from Parryware. We plan to have exclusive Parryware Stores in other cities like Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. We are aiming to continue to grow at 30 per cent annually for the coming years to be among the top three in Gujarat State."

The company has seven manufacturing facilities across India, to make Sanitaryware, Faucets, Bathroom Furniture, Plastic Cisterns, Plastic seat covers among others. The company has total installed capacity of 4 million pcs per annum.

"In the next two years we will reach full capacity and will require additional capacities. We have started evaluating the prospects for new factory location and Gujarat is among the preferred locations. A decision is yet to be taken on this," he added.

On the exports, Ranganathan stated that company currently exports around 2 per cent of its revenues, while it plans to increase the share of exports to 7 per cent in the next three years by focusing more on overseas markets.
