Hyperlocal grocery delivery service PepperTap is expanding to tier II cities that include Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Lucknow. In a statement, the company said it will be hiring close to 900-1,000 people, including on-ground delivery staff, and will tie-up with around 25 grocers in each of these cities. Navneet Singh, Co-founder, said: “We are rapidly covering as many cities as we can to offer people superlative hyperlocal online grocery delivery services. After receiving a terrific response from consumers in Delhi and Pune, we are now concentrating on the tier-II cities.” The company will next look at entering Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.
