Petronet LNG has reported a ₹ 562.95 crore profit for the second quarter of financial year 2018-2019. This is 4.39 per cent lower than the ₹ 588.78 profit reported by the company in the same period of the last financial year.
The lower profit is despite total revenue up being 37.91 per cent higher at ₹ 10,856.82 crore during the quarter under review from ₹ 7872.16 crore during the same quarter of the preceding financial year.
The Company board of directors also declared a special interim dividend of ₹ 5.50 per equity share (Face value ₹ 10/· per equity share). The record date for determining the entitlement for payment of interim dividend is fixed as November 17, 2018.
