Power Finance Corporation has extended additional financial assistance to Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RRVUNL) to support emission norms compliance.
A PFC statement said, “This financial assistance totalling ₹2,626 crore is mainly for installation of a Flue Gas Desulphurization Plant (FGD) and a Selective Catalytic Reactor (SCR) as part of environmental upgradation works at super-critical thermal power projects at Suratgarhand Chhabra, having a capacity of 2x660 MW each. With this assistance, PFC’s cumulative sanction for the two projects amounts to ₹10,218 crore.”
