Philips India has appointed V. Raja as the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director for Philips India Ltd, effective from December 1. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving and building the healthcare and consumer lifestyle businesses of the company in India.
He takes over from A Krishna Kumar, who has taken over the new role of Head of the Emerging Businesses Group for Philips globally. Raja is joining from TE Connectivity, where he was the President of India Operations since 2011.
“We are pleased with the appointment of Mr V Raja and we are confident that Philips will greatly benefit from Mr Raja’s leadership and rich experience in business to consumer and business to business industries,” said Ronald de Jong, Chief Market Leader of Royal Philips in a statement.
